For extortion, Police dismiss four officers.

Four police officers have been sent home by the Nigeria Police on the offence of extorting money from a civilian .

The affected officials were attached to the Ijebu-Ode Division of the Ogun State Command.

They are Mufutau Olaosun, an inspector; Adebayo Temitope, a sergeant; Bakare Taiwo, a corporal; and Adesoye Ayokunlehin, a corporal.

Before their dismissal, the police had received a complaint by a victim who accused them of collecting the sum of fifty thousand naira from him.

The victim explained that he was returning from the bank where he had gone to withdraw for his boss when these officers accosted him. He said they accused him of being a fraudster before collecting the fifty thousand naira he withdrew for his boss.

The complaint was immediately registered and investigated by the police which later found the four officers guilty of extortion and consequently dismissed.

Last month, three traffic wardens of the force were also dismissed for the same crime.

  1. Greetings! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which blog
platform are you using for this site? I’m getting sick and
tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers
and I’m looking at options for another platform.

I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
