Tithing, what Nigerian celebrities are saying about it

Nigerian celebrities have weighed in on the
controversial topic of paying tithes

Over the last few months, there has been this uproar from different quarters about if paying tithes tn the church is actually worth it.

Well as sensitive as this topic is, it has always been biblical for all practicing Christians to pay their tithes to the church. That doesn’t seem to be the case for some celebrities like media personality, Daddy Freeze who has a very different view about tithing.

Daddy Freeze has always been of the opinion that the church of today does not deserve to receive tithes. He has pointed at the flashy lifestyle of many pastors as why tithing is wrong.

His strong opinion has gotten big reactions including, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye and the pastor of The House On The Rock , Pastor Paul Adefarasin

Tithing has become such a topical and touching subject that celebrities have aired their opinions about it.

Veteran actress, Shan George believes pastors should use the monies from tithe and offerings to build schools and construct roads rather than purchase private jets to fly around with their families.

Some other celebrities have contrary views from that of Daddy Freeze and Shane George, music star, D’banj thinks it pays to pay your tithe which he made known via his Instagram page.

One person who also thinks to pay tithe is very important is the singer, Timi Dakolo . Timi is of the opinion that tithing is something that is of biblical importance and should be adhered to. He was very vocal about his opinion which led to a clash between him and Freeze.

Even music executive Ubi Franklin also believes tithing is for matured believers. During an interview, he said he believes all the blessings he has been receiving in his life is because he hasn’t held back that which he is supposed to give back to God.
