Cristiano Ronaldo breaks another Champions League record, that of his own

Real Madrid swept aside Apoel Nicosia in the Champions League at the GSP Stadium on Tuesday night, Los Blancos thrashed the Cypriot Champions 6-0 to seal their qualification to the knockout stage of the competition.

Ronaldo has another two goals and another Champions League record with 18 in the calendar year surpassing his own personal record of 16 goals in a calendar year.
However, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema scored a  brace each to ensure that APOEL Nicosia got the bashing in a heavy way. Ronaldo and Benzema have not enjoyed the best times in front of goal especially in the La Liga where the two Real Madrid forwards have only scored one goal apiece in La Liga, and that came in the same game, a 2-1 win away to Getafe.
Against APOEL on Tuesday, the two strikers were back in full gear and in the Champions League, with the fine display against Apoel on Tuesday night one could conclude that Zinedine Zidane big boys are now set to start what they know how to do best.
Prior to this game, Ronaldo tops the list of the highest goal scorer in the Champions League with six goals with the two goals against Apoel he moved his tally to eight goals in five Champions League games.
