NPFL MD 14 Review: Lokosa continues hot form, FCIU’s Kone hat-trick down Plateau Utd

Seven wins and three draws were recorded in the NPFL Matchday 14 fixtures played across various match centres across the country. 

In Nnewi, Yaya Kone scored a hat-trick as FC Ifeanyi Ubah defeated defending champions Plateau Utd, 3 nil. 

Despite his red hot form, scoring 11 goals in 13 games, Junior Lokosa couldn’t prevent a loss for Kano Pillars in Kwara as Sai Musa Gida fell 2-1 short despite Lokosa opening the scoring

Heartland got the better of Nasarawa United after returning to the Rwang Pam Stadium while Wikki Tourists hit El Kanemi Warriors for three. 

Lobi Stars had a late penalty to thank as they won at the death, 3-2 against Rivers Utd, while it was the same spot kick which helped Go Round FC to salvage a point in Omoku against Rangers as it ended 2-2. 

In Damaturu, Yobe Deser Stars conceded their first ever NPFL goal at home as Enyimba Intl came to town with a 1-1 draw. 
In Agege, Chijioke Akuneto came from the bench to score a brace and helped MFM FC  to a 2-1 win over Katsina Utd.
