Aishah Ahmad was born on 26th October, 1976 in Niger state, Nigeria
A graduate of Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from University of Abuja (1992 – 1996)
She obtained her MBA certification from the University of Lagos, majoring in finance (1999 – 2001)
Aishah started her working career in the private sector as a Group Accountant at “Manstructs Group Nigeria Limited”.
She later worked at Z.O Osasanya and Company before transferring to First Interstate Bank (Nigeria) Plc., as Executive Assistant, Treasure Group.
Head of Retail Banking at Zenith Bank Plc and as Head of Private Banking at NSL Bank Plc.
Aishah holds a Master of Science degree, in Finance and Management awarded by the Cranfield School of Management in United Kingdom (2006 – 2007)
She is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
Aishah Ahmad is married to Abdallah A Ahmad, a retired Brigadier General and they have two children.
On 6th October, 2017 Aishah was appointed Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria by the Federal Government.
She was however confirmed as the Deputy Governor by the Nigeria Senate on 22nd March, 2018.
Prior to her appointed as the Deputy Governor, she was the Head of Consumer and Privilege Banking at Diamond Bank Nigeria.
