Omotola Jalade was born on 7th February, 1978 in Lagos State, Nigeria.
She grew up in a family of five
Omotala attends Chrisland School Opebi (1981-1987), Oxford children school (1987), Santos Layout and Command Secondary School Kaduna (1988-1993)
She attends Obafemi Awolowo University for a brief period before going to Yaba College of Technology to study Estate Management.
Accompanying a friend to a movie audition, she was handed her first acting role in the 1995 movie “Venom of Justice”, she was given a lead role in the movie that set the stage for a flourishing career part in the Nollywood film industry.
Her first big role was in the critically acclaimed film “Mortal Inheritance” (1995). The movie was regarded as one of Nigeria best movies of the time.
Omotola, in 2015 celebrated her 20th Anniversary in the Nigeria entertainment industry.
In 2005, she launched a long-awaited music career with the release of her debut album titled “GBA”.
The album includes songs like “Naija Lowa” and “The Things You Do To Me”.
Omosexy in 2012, launched her own reality show: The Real Me on Africa Magic Entertainment. She was the first Nigeria Celebrity to star in her own reality show.
Omotola became a United Nations WFP (World Food Programme) Ambassador in 2005.
She also became an Amnesty International campaigner in 2011.
On 5th November, 2013 she was honoured with the Ebony Vanguard Award at the Music Video and Screen Awards (MVISA) in Birmingham, England.
CNN travel noted Omotola in 2012 with famous tongue (accent) on the list of World’s 12 sexiest accents.
She was honoured Time Magazine list of the 100 most influential people in the world alongside Michelle Obama, Beyonce and Kate Middleton in 2013.

Omotola Married pilot Captain Matthew Ekeinde in 1996, they are blessed with four children.
