Patience Ozokwor is a Nigerian actress, Musician, fashion designer and one of those honored during the Nigerian centenary celebration in 2014.
Patience was born on March 25th, 1958 in Ngwo, Enugu state, Nigeria.
She goes by the nickname “Mama G.”
Mama G attends the Abimbola Gibson Memorial School and later Women Training College in Lagos.
She then went to the Institutes of Management and Technology in Enugu where she obtained a degree in Fine and Applied Art.
Patience teaches for 4 years after obtaining her degree before deciding to go into radio broadcasting, where she worked as radio announcer and newscaster.
She tries out her ability as a radio drama actress before going to become a film actress.
Mama G features in commercials, followed by a soap opera ‘Someone Cares’ on the National Television Authority (NTA), .
Her first movie was in 1998, by then she was already known by the people.
In 1999, she was part of the highly successful and popular movie, “Authority”. This movie brought her to limelight.
Patience has played different roles in over 100 Nollywood movies.
She married at age 19, and has three biological children and five adopted ones.
Mama G won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards.
Patience Ozokwor was among 100 Nigerians honored by President Goodluck Jonathan during Nigeria centenary celebration in 2014.
