Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari on monday approved additional security units for safer lives and properties in the Birnin-Gwari local government area of Kaduna state.
In a statements, on the official twitter handle of the President of Nigeria, the presidency approved a new military battalion, a new police area command and two additional division police headquarters in the area.
“President Buhari has approved the creation of new area command and two additional Divisional Police Headquarters in Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, to curtail bandits and boost security in the Birnin-Gwari – Zamfara area.
Suspect bandits on Saturday raided Gwaska village in Birnin-Gwari area of Kaduna Killing 45 persons, mostly children.
The federal government assures Nigerians and the people of Kaduna state that it will do everything within its power to ensure lives and properties are safe.
“We will do everything within our power, working with the Kaduna state government to ensure the security of lives and properties in kaduna state.”
