English championship side, Stoke City have announced the signing of Nigerian midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo on a 5-year deal from Portuguese side Feireinse for €7.5million.
The Potters made this known on their official twitter account following the delivery of the deal this afternoon.
The former Warri Wolves Central midfielder was also crowned ‘2015 CAF Most Promising Talent’ was seen happy to have signed the deal in a smiling picture uploaded by the club.

The 23 years old forward who played for Spanish side Las Palmas last season on a loan deal from Feireinse of Portugal is currently in Russia with the Super Eagles of Nigeria for the 2018 FIFA world cup which kicks off on the 14th of June.

“We’re really excited to have got the deal over the line for Etebo. I’m looking forward to seeing him in a Stoke City shirt as I’m sure our supporters are too,” Rowett told club website.
Club chief executive Tony Scholes also registered his delight in the signing of the 2016 Olympics bronze medalist’ decision to join the Championship side despite chases from other English side and German Bundesliga outfits.
“We are delighted Etebo has chosen to join Stoke City, becoming our first signing of the summer,” Scholes told club website.
“I’m particularly pleased that he took the time to look beyond our current league status and understand who we are as a club before choosing us ahead of current Premier League and Bundesliga clubs.”
Stoke city will by next season doing their business in the second division of the English league after they were relegated last season.
